Description
What you’ll do:
- Based on the products developed in Malaysia and Seoul and working under the guidance of the Head of Products in Malaysia, take all other steps in localizing, developing and launching the Paywatch app in Hong Kong
- Manage product through the product development lifecycle by leading in-house teams in gathering and prioritising business and customer requirements, prioritizing features, and collaborating with team members to ensure product features are delivered according to specifications within the required timeline. The Product Manager must also ensure that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
- Define and document product requirements, features, and functionality. Document and maintain Product Research Documents
- Work with UIUX teams to bring engaging user experiences to life.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance testing), go-live and post launch analysis for future iterations.
- Provide ongoing analysis on product effectiveness using a data-driven approach.
- Liaising with counter-parts at the bank (our financing partners), white-label ewallets (stored value facility) providers and other outsourced providers.
- Good understanding of Agile (particularly Scrum), the SDLC and project management practices
- Initiate and develop relationships with technology service providers, such as eWallets, SMS and other communications service providers, eKYC service providers (as necessary)
- Interface with regulators as necessary in Hong Kong, as well as develop the terms and conditions for our product in Hong Kong
- Estimate customer demand for product, involved in identifying potential customers, stay informed on competing products and market landscape, especially in fintech industry, HR management system and earn wage access industry.
- Be a self-starter that is able to wear many hats and be proactive.
Who you are:
- At least 3~5 years of product management experience especially in developing fintech products are required. HR management system experience is a plus.
- Experience from a fintech (preferably from the credit side) in Hong Kong preferred – particularly those that have experience or knowledge with Open API Initiatives, HK InterBank Clearing Limited requirements and HKMA related issues is a plus.
- Experience at a start-up strongly preferred; experience developing digital products at banks or traditional FIs good to have
- Proficiency in any of these technology domains: Product Management, UI/UX, Marketing, Customer Support, Banking, Fintech, Security
- Familiarity with Figma and other UI / UX design tools a plus
- Although no coding will be required, conceptual / general understanding of how backend implementation (on the tech side) is executed with banks would be a plus
- Bachelor’s degree from a technical discipline preferred, but not required
- English fluency required, Cantonese and Mandarin fluency good to have (with focus on Cantonese)
- Possesses good work ethic, a team player, self-directed and passionate about technology
